KeiperTech KT-220 Hydrogen Torch in Action!

Why the KT-220 Hydrogen Torch is an improvement over oxy acetylene torches…

This video was recently taken at one of our customers’ shops. They are using the KT-220 Hydrogen Generator as an industrial hydrogen torch system. The system was purchased to replace their outdated oxy-acetylene torch. After a short demonstration, technician then goes on to explain why he prefers the KT-220 hydrogen torch over his traditional oxy-acetylene torch. Use as a replacement for older oxy-acetylene torches remains the KT-220’s most popular use. Customers find using water as a source of fuel for a torch system is more efficient, economical, safe, and green as compared to torch systems that use bottled gas. Using on-demand hydrogen gas to power a hydrogen torch doesn’t produce noxious fumes in the way the oxy acetylene torch setups do. Since these fumes can be harmful to your employee’s health, the KT-220 Hydrogen Torch is a much safer option.

No melting or burning using hydrogen torch

Customer points out a hose which suffered no damage after welding a nearby metal part.

Furthermore a hydrogen torch out performs oxy acetylene torches because it concentrates heat only in the spot where it’s needed. In the video you will hear one of the technicians talk about how the rubber hose would normally be charred and burned from the heat dissipation when using an oxy acetylene torch. He notes however that the hydrogen torch doesn’t seem to cause the same problem.

The KeiperTech KT-220 Hydrogen Torch System is the most efficient Hydrogen Generator / Hydrogen Torch on the market. This system eliminates the need for bottled gases as it produces Hydrogen and Oxygen on demand from a built in 1.5 gallon water tank.
